Why this shop

A narrow specialism, on purpose

  • Viking-only workload

Professional ranges, built-in refrigeration, wall ovens and dishwashers. One brand, so the failure patterns are familiar before we arrive.

  • Diagnosis before parts

Manifold pressure read, spark modules and igniters tested, temperatures logged. Nothing is ordered on a hunch.

  • Eastside-based

Dispatched from Kirkland, not routed over from Seattle. Morning calls in Moss Bay and Juanita usually land the same day.

  • One year on the work

Parts and labour carry a twelve-month guarantee. Written price agreed before a panel comes off.

What we repair

Four appliances, known inside out

Everything below is Viking-specific work. The symptoms are the ones people actually describe on the phone — if yours is on the list, we have seen it this month.

  1. Screwdrivers, water-pump pliers, long-nose pliers and burner fixings set out on a cloth before a range repair
    01

    Viking Range Repair

Ignition, gas delivery and simmer faults on Viking professional sealed-burner ranges and rangetops.

    • The front burner keeps clicking long after the flame is already up
    • Simmer will not hold — the flame either roars or drops out completely
    • Three burners light straight away, the back left just hisses and never catches

  2. Hand tools, a stainless bracket and replacement fixings arranged on a cloth before a refrigerator repair
    02

    Viking Refrigerator Repair

Built-in and free-standing Viking refrigeration — cooling loss, defrost faults, water in the base and ice production problems.

    • Fresh food side has drifted into the mid-50s while the freezer is still rock solid
    • Water pools under the crisper drawers every few days and refreezes into a sheet
    • The compressor runs constantly and the floor in front of the unit is warm
    Refrigerator Repair detail
  3. A stainless gas range with the oven door open and one rack removed, ready for an oven diagnostic
    03

    Viking Oven Repair

Calibration drift, element and igniter failures, convection faults and door-seal problems on Viking wall ovens and range ovens.

    • It says 350 but an oven thermometer on the middle rack reads closer to 310
    • Preheat takes forty minutes and it still beeps ready far too early
    • The broil element glows in patches at one end and stays dark at the other
    Oven Repair detail
  4. Nut drivers, pliers, a parts brush and door hardware laid out before a dishwasher repair
    04

    Viking Dishwasher Repair

Drainage, wash-arm and control faults on Viking panel-ready and stainless dishwashers, including leak tracing.

    • There is standing water in the bottom of the tub at the end of every cycle
    • Glasses come out with grit on them and the top rack is still soaking wet
    • It stops mid-cycle, flashes a code for a moment, then quietly resets itself

How a call runs

Three steps, no surprises in between

The order never changes. You know the price before a panel comes off, and you see the unit working before we pack the van.

  1. A technician’s screwdrivers, pliers and small fixings set out on a workshop bench

    01

Tell us what it is doing

The model plate and a plain description of the symptom get us most of the way there. A burner that clicks after lighting and one that never lights are two different repairs, and we would rather know which before loading the van.

  2. Nut drivers, combination pliers, a parts brush and a hinge bracket laid out on a cloth

    02

    Diagnose on site

Gas pressure at the manifold, spark module output, thermistor and probe resistance, drain and pump readings on dishwashers, temperatures logged over a full cycle on refrigeration. You get the actual cause, in words that make sense.

  3. Replacement latch and hinge assemblies set out beside the tools used to fit them

    03

    Repair, then prove it

Price agreed first, then the work. Before we pack up, the unit is run again and the readings are shown to you — a burner lit and left on low, an oven brought up and checked against a probe, a wash cycle run to a dry tub.

What people say afterwards

5.0 / 51,429 reviews

  • Simmer would not hold on two burners. It turned out to be pressure at the regulator, not the burners at all. Booked at nine, sorted by one, and the caps left cleaner than he found them.

    Ines R.Moss Bay · Jun 2026

  • Ice maker filled but dropped small hollow cubes that stuck together in the bin. The fill valve was weak and the water line had a kink from the original install. Cubes are solid again.

    Thea K.Totem Lake · Apr 2026

  • Simmer dropped out completely on the left side, then roared back. A burner orifice partly blocked since the install. Half an hour and it held low all evening.

Before you call

The questions we get most

How quickly can someone get out to a Kirkland address?

Calls booked before about 11am usually get a same-day slot. Moss Bay, Juanita, Totem Lake and Bridle Trails sit on our regular route, so those addresses tend to get the earliest windows. Anything booked later normally lands the following morning.

What does the visit cost?

A flat $89 service call covers the visit and the full assessment, and it comes off the total in full if you approve the repair. You get a firm price for parts and labour before anything is dismantled.

When can I actually reach someone?

The phone is answered 24/7, so you can get a slot booked at two in the morning if that is when the freezer gives up. Technicians are on the road 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, seven days, and that is the window a visit will fall in.

Do you carry Viking parts on the van?

The common failure items, yes — spark modules, igniters, burner caps and orifices, oven sensors and elements, evaporator fans, thermistors, door gaskets, drain pumps and wash-arm bearings for the widespread model families. Model-specific control boards and sealed-system parts are ordered against your serial number.

Will a panel-ready unit come out without damaging the cabinetry?

That is a large part of the job on Kirkland condos and newer townhouses. Custom panels are removed, catalogued and reset on the original fixings. If a fixing has already been stripped by someone else, we tell you before it goes back rather than after.

Do you work on gas ranges as well as electric ovens?

Both. Sealed-burner gas ranges and rangetops, dual-fuel combinations and electric wall ovens. Gas work includes manifold pressure checks and leak testing on every visit that touches the gas train.

My unit is fifteen years old. Is it still worth repairing?

Usually. Viking professional equipment is built around serviceable, individually replaceable components, and parts availability on the common model families is still good. Where a repair genuinely does not make financial sense we say so — it is a short conversation and it costs you nothing.

Are you affiliated with Viking Range, LLC?

No. We are an independent repair company. We are not an authorised Viking service agent and we are not endorsed by Viking Range, LLC — we use the name only to describe the equipment we work on.

What should I have ready when I call?

The model and serial number from the plate — behind the kick panel or the door frame on most ranges, on the interior wall of a refrigerator, and on the tub edge of a dishwasher. Then how long the fault has been happening and whether anything changed just before it started.

Tell us what it is doing.

Model number and a plain description of the symptom is enough to start. Calls placed before 11am in Kirkland usually get a same-day window. The visit is a $89 service call, credited in full against an approved repair.
